Barry The Weasel: Front

Watching TV a couple weeks back, a saturday morning ITV kids show called Mighty Truck Of Stuff comes on.
Kids TV has gone downhill; they had a guy spitting sweets at targets.
Also, after the Batman cartoon, they had a man in a bat (not batman) costume stumbling around. The kind of sagging, middle aged man who shouldn't be wearing lycra.
I turned to my friend and said 'mascots are [poo] nowadays... who's that, Barry the Weasel?'
He cracked up, and so Barry was born.


The character is basically a middle-aged, fat drunk, who has dubious views on the world and yet still gets to be on kids TV.

I designed my friend a design to put on a kids lunchbox (as a present). This is the front.
The speech is intended to be on a little card, inserted into a plastic pouch attached over the speech bubble.. This means you could make a new phrase and put it in!

Done in Illustrator; just starting to learn it, it's quite laborious.
